About

Rebecca is a writer, editor, producer, and radio journalist based in Sydney. She is currently doing all of the above for fbi radio in her role as Executive Producer at fbi’s news program Backchat. She also joined the ABC in 2023 as a producer working on programs for Radio National, including her limited series for Download This Show being a finalist for the 2026 IT Journalism Awards.

Before all this she was a producer and presenter for Eastside Radio for five years, producing for Drive, running the Album of the Week program and founding a program dedicated to uncovering new local artists in the jazz world. Before this, in her time as an undergrad, she was Editor for Vertigo Magazine in 2017, and has been regularly published by the magazine 2017-2019. She holds a Masters in Advanced Journalism, a BA in Communications, and a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation from UTS, as well as a Diploma in Graphic Design.

She has a special interest in environmental and social justice journalism, and local independent arts and music. She has been a professional ceramicist in her spare time since 2015 and an semi-professional flautist since the age of ten.
